It is with great joy and deep reverence that we celebrate the 90th Birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Tibetan communities across the world are observing this blessed occasion as the Year of Compassion. As a mark of our profound gratitude to His Holiness and inspired by his Four Core Commitments, our school has contributed to this milestone celebration through reflective essay competitions and dedicated tree and flower planting drives to preserve our environment. The School Ghoton Committee has also organised wonderful programmes to honour this historic anniversary.

At the same time, this celebration reminds us of something equally precious — our Tibetan language and vibrant culture. As students, one of the greatest offerings we can make to His Holiness is to speak our mother tongue with pride, embrace our traditions wholeheartedly, and pass them on with love and diligence.

I encourage every student to carry the spirit of this celebration forward: take stewardship of our earth, cultivate self-discipline, practice kindness and compassion toward one another, and hold our Tibetan identity close to your heart. In doing so, we honour His Holiness in the truest and most meaningful way.
