STEM Educational Excursion to Bangalore

On 10th and 11th June 2026, 33 students of Classes IX and X from Sambhota Tibetan School (STS), Kollegal, participated in a STEM Educational Excursion to Bangalore, organized by the Department of Education (Sherig), CTA, and generously supported from the American people through The Tibet Fund.
Day 1: The journey began with an orientation on higher education and cultural roots at the Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education (DLIHE) and Men-Tsee-Khang, followed by an afternoon tour of the cutting-edge research facilities at the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS).
Day 2: Students explored space science and astronomy at the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, followed by an interactive afternoon engaging with engineering and physics exhibits at the Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum.
We extend our sincere gratitude to DoE (CTA), The Tibet Fund, and all host institutions for making this inspiring and comprehensive educational experience possible for our youth.
